Northern Contracting Limited (NCL) has been a locally owned and operated construction company operating in Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia since 1995. From a humble beginning, Northern Contracting has grown to offer a variety of construction services to all its customers in Eastern Atlantic Canada.

The Northern Team specializes in all areas of heavy civil construction, including municipal services such as water, storm and sanitary sewer, excavation and earth moving, aggregate supply, road construction and rehabilitation. NCL also offers asphalt concrete paving, as well as concrete work including curb, walkways, decorative stamped walks, and landscaping.

Northern Contracting has a fully operational aggregate quarry where we supply type 1 and type 2 gravel, 7/8” clear stone, pit run and shale along with other products.

Northern Contracting Limited employs a highly trained and experienced staff consisting of Professional Engineers, Union Labourers, Carpenters and Operating Engineers along with many other support and administration staff.
